This product is licensed per core. Two core licenses are included with this product. You will need to license all cores in the processors the SQL Server will be used on. Five device client access licenses (CALs) are included.
This model allows you license a physical, virtual, or cloud-based server (based on computing power). It is for administrators who don't know the exact number of users and devices that will connect to the server.
